🍶 Sugar-Free Condensed Milk — 3 Ingredients
Introduction
Looking for a creamy, homemade condensed milk without adding regular sugar? This simple recipe uses just three basic ingredients and is economical, easy to prepare, and wonderfully versatile. It’s perfect for coffee, desserts, cakes, puddings, ice cream, and many other sweet treats.
Note: “Sugar-free” here means no added sugar. If you need a strictly sugar-free product for medical reasons, choose ingredients labeled accordingly and check the nutrition label.
🥛 Ingredients
4 cups whole milk
½ cup powdered milk
2–4 tablespoons granulated sugar substitute such as erythritol or allulose, to taste
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1. Combine the ingredients
Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Whisk in the powdered milk and your chosen sweetener until everything is completely dissolved.
2. Heat gently
Place the saucepan over low to medium-low heat. Stir frequently so the milk doesn’t stick to the bottom or scorch.
3. Reduce the milk
Allow the mixture to cook gently for about 30–45 minutes, stirring regularly. The goal is to evaporate some of the water and create a thicker, creamier consistency.
4. Watch the texture
When the mixture has noticeably reduced and coats the back of a spoon, remove it from the heat. Remember that it will become thicker as it cools.
